I stand on a field
Deep in the countryside
And there around me
On this chilled autumn morn
The beauty of the sun filled sky
Fills me with wonder
As the bright blue is bubbled with white
Where the clouds drift slowly by
Filling my body, heart and mind
With the glory of nature
As I wonder what is beyond that sky
The unknown is out there
Just waiting for me to arrive

Good write Gold.
Erm, a hefty shower of rain is waiting for me, as I look out me window! Doh! Better than nasty fog though.
Thanks Orchi, don\'t worry about the rain skin is waterproof.

And - how's the thinking going? Will it be dangerous?!
Yes I know, I shouldn't do it.
You told me not to think in 1066, but I didn't listen. Doh!
ah' the great universal wonder .... and so perfectly penned ..............
Thank you Neville, that wonder is there for us all - in time.

Hi Andy,
Very nice. I have a similar place.
I call it βthe orchard on a hillβ
An apple orchard near where I live.
I take my dog for walks there I stop and do that as your poem.
Best Regards
JP
Thank you John, those places are so very special to us.
Andy
There's no rush to take that final journey yet. Plenty of needs for you on this side of the great divide.
No, certainly no rush d a, so much more to see, admire and listen too.

Thank you FB, that mystery is there for us all to ponder.

I too, have at times looked up and wondered what may be looking back down at little old us - we conqueror's supreme, of all that we see, with our legacies of sandhill empires,
so I can relate with those wonderings captured within your words, what truly awaits at that final arrival gate...
a though provoking write!
Thank you LB, yes we must all wonder at some time what is really out there.
