She came to me
one evening,
upon a quietness
of blanket snow
and bathed me
with traquility.
Lovelight shining
into my eyes.
Asking only love
she promised,
without cloud,
to enlight my
midnight sky of dreams.
Always there
for me, my
silver princess
of the heavens.

And what better tribute to the beautiful moon than your verse today D.A. - a dreamy read to be sure.

I suppose its us oldies who appreciate the world around us and the heavens above us. She certainly has inspired many.

That gap in the clouds!
Fantastic work my friend
Full moons have a magnetic appeal dont they.
I'm truly glad you can still find the same wonder in old moon that I once felt. But now humans have had their clodhoppers all over it and are threatening to spread their pollution there in great numbers...
Tried to forget and then re-remember.
But don't let me rain on your parade - revel if you can.
Dave
It's poetry Dave, just written for the sake of stringing a few words together.. It's not a reflection on any part of my life, nor is the next one..
You are of course right, da, and I did admire it on the poetic level. Painterly words, great image and music. It's just that sometimes intrusive thoughts intrude and I am rather partial to the occasional exchange...
Regards Dave
PS: (Off topic) I produced a lengthy comment on 'love is a pose of power' (lucifer and so on) you may not have seen. What are my chances of getting somewhere? Between zero and minus one?
Just checking ... yep.. still she's beautiful ....
