Have you ever been in love before?
I have.
Love can be a plethora of things
Love can bring you great highs
Whilst also giving you your best lows
Love can be confusing
Love can be mind-boggling
I don’t need anyone to be my knight
Just someone who’s always down to fight
The great poet William Shakespeare noted:”love—”the marriage of true minds”—is perfect and unchanging
But how can that be?
When your love changed
It changed the moment you went...
with her
Her. Her very name sickens me
Her very being shakes a core to my world
I always thought you had the last piece to my puzzle
But I was wrong, I had the last piece of yours
I release you.
Goodbye.

- Comment from author about the poem: I’ve never been in love or been rejected for another person. However, I would imagine being in love with someone who doesn’t love you back can cause you to hold resentment that needs to be let go.

Good write, when you find true love it grows and grows.
