Because the WATER (H-O-H) MOLECULES bond together - due to Hydrogen Bonding - Water is a very viscous liquid @ ambient temperature 16C. Consequently it is easy to pour and in a large Waterfall like NIAGARA ~ it does flow over the edge like a Blanket ! When we visited NIAGARA ~ Angela & I were surprised just how intense some of the Rainbows where ! It is the Science behind NATURE that makes it so spectacular. A knowledge of Science gives one an even deeper respect for NATURE and an understanding of the importance of Conservation. America is waking up to the fact that She must be MUCH MORE GREENER for Her Natural Beauty to survive ~ AMEN !
THERE IS ALWAYS ~ SOMETHING SPECIAL
SPECIAL about all WATERFALLS !
WATER FALLS ~ being a liquid ~ due to Gravity.
Gravity pulls it down when a River Reaches ........
Reaches the edge ! Water has high Molecular Cohesion
Cohesion that sticks the Water Molecules together.
Together they Fall ~ like a Blanket !
Blanket of Water ~ which strikes Rocks
Rocks & other objects on its descent
Descent into the Pool below the Fall.
Fall of Water ~ which differs every .......
Every second as it cascades down .......
Down & Down ~ forming Rainbows as the drops refract Light
Light from the Sun into a perfect SPECTRUM ~ R O Y G B I V !

In a Flow Poem ~ each new Line begins with the word that ends the preceding Line. This give the Poem a Flow (Rhythm) when recited. They are not too difficult to write ~ Please try one for yourself. Waterfalls are always special to watch.

Good Morning UNCLE ANDY ~ Brian here ! Nature (like Music) is seldom static. Waterfalls ( except in Winter - when they have their own crystalline static beauty) are one of he most dynamic of her creations. They - especially smaller ones - change every second as they splish & splash down & round the rocks to the next level. its not only the SIGHT but also the SYMPHONY that accompanies it. In the USA you often hear them (if you have your windows open) before you see them ! You park the car and there round the corner is the most magnificent Waterfall unmarked & unsung. In the UK it would have a Visitor Centre & Tea Room and possibly a Charge ! Even when we went to NIAGARA (Canada Horseshoe Falls) the carpark was free and viewing the Falls was also Free and we were close enough to Jump in !

When GOD created Planet Earth He knew that with an abundant Water Cycle and Rocky Terrain - Waterfalls would form automatically when a River or Stream met a precipice. He created MAN to discover & enjoy them and preserve them for Future Generations to enjoy. Also to provide Hydroelectric Power when we had mastered Physics ! oh I agree, nothing more magnificent in Nature,
sadly I barely remember visiting a couple in-person, but the rushing sounds heard while walking towards the waterfall - will ever remain with me, pure power at its untamed best
Thanks FRIEND - Anela here. The sight & sound and sense (spray) of a waterfall is unique and each Fall is unique ! Like BRIAN (see His reply to UOAP) I like bathing in the Pool under the Fall - Al Nudo would be nice but there are always People about so I wear my SWIMSUIT (not a BIKINI) for modesty. In developing Countries Waterfalls & Rockpools are very Popular Swimming Pools and no CHLORINE ! Bathing under a waterfall is an *Out of this World* experience !
