Empty heart

Dakota

An empty heart leaves my mind to wander.

I stepped and traveled far and found little this must  mean I have to go even farther.

Stories untold as I progress towards the future half of me is left in the past.

I feel a sadness and I ache in my neck forcing myself not to look back.

I’m stressed tired and depressed but I still press.

I’m looked down on but when push came to shove.

I put on my gloves and shrugged tears were dropped when their graves were dug.

Who thinks they’ve earned the right to judge.

The way things are run im out and I’m done.

Our giant hamster wheel mocks how far we’ve come.

What is matter what does it even matter

Everything is made by it but it all doomed to deteriorate crumble and shatter.

Did we even exist?

I try my best to live but life has it turns and twist.

So reach in my chest and find a blood filled void.

It’s where the heart should be but it was forgotten and destroyed.

Very emotive write but if you reach further inside yourself you will find your heart and it is still beating and will get stronger as you go further into the wonder of life that is in front of you.

Those last few lines... Wow. Emotive, indeed. A blood filled void. You've rendered me speechless, really. Rather brilliant.
