I've always seen death, looking into the mirror
Now it's in the back seat, asking what's for dinner
I said I'm not sure, got plenty of insecurities, worry or grief!
Fantastic was the reply, how do you think I got here so quick...
So maybe it's time to change more than what's on my plate
Although this old dog feels, this is not just my fate
Probably why we called it the human race, trying to see it, before it's to late!
Nothing more was needed than just time & space

- Comment from author about the poem: Most of my thoughts come from the dark, then I write and share to find the light! None of us have right, all we can do is just try and live life! I was unsure to post this and then read another souls worries, we are in this together but we can't hurry! Thoses that are here to help don't do it for money, its a service to the world and not king or country!! For the sake of humanity!

I agree. Time and space and things mellow..... sharp edges fall of questions..... probably because we have learned some of the answer.... we are getting there.
Death will always accept us but there is no reward for giving in too early..... reincarnation comes with a lesson...... but thats another story.
I could chat to you forever my friend! Letting the thoughts go wild only stopping for breath!!
I've read your words 3 times and left with so many thoughts, it turns back into none... Lol
Only you have that power!
I am pleased you wrote this and shared this for us... On the surface, its almost humorous - death asking what's for dinner - but underneath, you capture what I suspect most of us to be feeling and what most of us also hope to achieve - a change of menu. It's very clever. I too normally write from a dark place, I find expression from my pen also brings the light. You press publish with a sense of satisfaction at your creation but also with a sense that the weight upon your shoulders has slightly shifted. One for the favourites.
My wife felt it was very dark fur me and I actually did try to make little of my mental health! I do understand it's hard when someone has theses rotten rooted belief that I may as well just end it now but like you have replied and seen so well... The harder they are to put post, the more weight that comes off!
Thank you so much for the recent reads, your wonderful vibration is most welcome indeed!
As for a fav, I never feel worthy! Thank for the lesson, I am more than enough..
Keep up the good write, from dark to light!
Death will be there for us all but we do not need to think about it yet, you especially as in your life at the moment you have a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter who you obviously love. You have changed into a person who is looking at life in a new light, keep that light with you and live your wonderful life to the full.
Andy
You are right my friend but the quicker I can truly make friends with what has been with me for as long as I can remember, I may actually be able to enjoy the rest without looking into the mirror!
Always appreciate your time
Brilliant!
