Im just A OWL in a Christmas Tree
An unusual place for ME to be
Im not a ROBIN ~ weavin* & bobbin*
Im just A OWL in a Christmas Tree !
Im just A OWL in a Christmas Tree
Ive got big round eyes ~ You cant miss ME
Im from Upstate NEW YORK ~ they included ME
And wrapped ME up ~ with the Christmas Tree !

When the Tree-feller laid his axe on ME
The tree was destined for the ROCK - FELLER Suite
They discovered ME ~ cos I began to TWEET !
Ive been watered & fed in the Wild Life Center
Not stuffed & fluffed ~ on a Fancy Perch
Im just A OWL in a Christmas Tree
I might have ended up in a NEW YORK CHURCH !
Im a *SAW WHIT OWL* a breed quite rare
They didnt expect to find ME there !
Its not very often that you see
A OWL in a MANHATTEN CHRISTMAS TREE !

A real fun write reminding us it's not far away now but what sort of Christmas will it be,
ANGELA HERE ~ Good Sabbath Uncle MIKE ! Christmas is Christmas and despite external constraints it is whatever we choose to make it. Spiritual or Secular ~ CHRIST - MAS or Happy Holiday. Brian & I will of course be celebrating the fact that it about 2020 years since the INCARNAION ~ AMEN. The CHRISMAS STAMPS are Spiritual this year and those we have seen so far have been some interpretations by CLASSIC MASTERS of the Madonna & Child. For us the Global Christmas Stamps & Cards (Spiritual & Secular) are always a Great Blessing ~ AMEN One thing is certain *A Simple VIRUS lke COVID 19 ~ CANT STOP CHRISTMAS !

Thanks Dave ~ As Committed Christians - Brian & I do realise that Mistletoe - Evergreen Trees - Feasting & Drinking etc do go back to Bachanalia & Pagan Festivals etc. December 25 was chosen because it was a Holiday not the Date on the *Birth Certicate of JESUS BAR~JOSEPH* The Church has incorporated all these things into the Advent Story even Sinta Claus (St Nicholas) & Rudolph with His Red Nose. All these things appear on the Christmas Cards together with the Holy Family. The UK always wants to have its Cake & Eat it ! So the POST OFFICE (and you cant get more British than that !) Has Secular Christmas Stamps on the ODD YEAR (2019 -"2021 - 2023 etc) and Spiritual on the EVEN YEARS (2018 - 2020 - 2022 etc. Like Boris Johnson - They want to please *All of the Poeple - All of the Time !* This YEAR its *Mary & her Boy Child* by Famous Artists !

I thought that a very comprehensive summary of the dynamics of the festive season - at least from a Christian - Non Believer perspective.
Also very entertaining in that I now have an insight into the workings of the British Post Office about which hitherto I had no suspicion. Amused is an understatement!

A & B & C here @ Home watching Strictly ~ Smokey gets very excited with the Music & Everyone Dancing ! If Brian & I start Dancng then Smokey Dances as well ~ He*s very funny ! Pleased you enjoyed the Poem & the Picture. Brian finds OWLS very funny annd as several TOY ones & a Brass one. Owls do look good on Christmas Trees !
