Nature's Comfort.

I walk alongside My River

In dawn’s early light,

The clear water shrouded in mist.

The green grass at her side

Whitened with frost.

Nature’s beauty and wonder

Showing me how wonderful it is.

The sun shines through the mist

Bringing Nature’s art into my eyes,

The trees and landscape unfocussed

As the light comes through to me,

Through the mist highlighting this wondrous time,

A time unique in life but caught in my mind.

As I walk on the mist clears.

My River now in focus,

It’s clear green waters are back with me,

Enjoying Natures comfort,

As I walk along my path of life.

Good write Gold. I need proper boots these days, for when muddy underfoot.

"The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky, are also on the faces of people passing by".

It's all there for eyes which will see.

Once again you let us into the intimate relationship you have with our wonderful world here.

        • Goldfinch60

          Thank you d a.
"for eyes which will see" is a very profound statement as many do not see the beauty and wonder around them.

          You succeeded.
Nothing much more to add, Andy - they've mostly said it all. I only know that the harmony I feel from that will be with me next time I go for such stroll.
          If in slightly warmer temperatures.
          Peace, Dave

          • Goldfinch60

Thank you Dave, the days where there is frost on the ground and the sun is shining are my absolute favourite days for walking.

            • Doggerel Dave

Andy - you are now filling me with nostalgia. When I come home from one of my walks, I'm steaming, must sit down for ten minutes and then go for a cool (I'm soft, cold is too much for me) shower

WE have had a chance to explore the Solar System & SETI has reached the conclusion that *There is Nobody out there* and so far not in the Milky Way (our Galaxy) either. Your poem show cases the living beauty of our Home Planet ~ EARTH ! People always ask the question *Why is it so so different from our Neighbours in Space ?* WE all have our own theories for the *Uniqueness of Planet Earth* and for the majority ~ that is the final answer ! Thanks for challengng our beiiefs !

Blessings & Joy & Peace to YOU & YOURS
                Love ~ Angela - Brian - Smokey 💛💛💛

Thank you Brian. I believe there are beings out there it is only the arrogance of homo sapiens that denies this.

The beauty of earth though is so wondrous.

Nice reflections Andy and words that flow unhurriedly and easily like your rivers waters, pooling here and there in deeper colours. I could literally see your frosted breath. Thanks.

                  • Goldfinch60

                    Thank you RDS, much appreciated.
