WHEN I WAS ~ a Youngster ~ CHRISTMAS meant one thing
That lots of TOYS that day I would RECEIVE
It means a whole lot different ~ now that Im GROWN - UP
More blessed it*s to GIVE ~ Now I BELIEVE !
But be careful what you give ~ is what I hear
A special present can dictate a Childs Career !
When I was TWELVE what did I get ?
From my UNCLE JIM ~ A CHEMISTRY SET
My SISTER got a Labrador
And she became a VET !
When we are choosing Presents ~ specially for the WIFE
Perfume - Jewels & Lingerie something SHE would like !
This YEAR its been difficult due to COVID VIRUS
We all buy from AMAZON - CDS by MILEY CYRUS !
Ladies can multitask & shop til they drop
With MEN things mechanical ? Yes that is where they SHOP
However now that I have married a WIFE
I give her MY LIST ~ and get on with MY LIFE !
AS LIFE goes on the list gets LONGER .............
The wrapping paper roll get STRONGER
I tear the paper when I wrap ~ cos Im a CHAP
Where did ANGELA learn to WRAP ?
What ever the shape ~ whatever the SIZE
Paper - ribbons & bows hide a nice SURPRISE !
If I had my way Id give vouchers or CASH
That they could spend on themselves with their PANACHE
*CHRISTMAS PRESENTS UNWRAPPED* A book I quote
How do you wrap A TEN POUND NOTE ?
Angela says *Its not very hard*
Just pop it inside a CHARITY CARD !
Ladies are ~ nonchalant ~ Ladies are Kool
That why I went to an *All Boys School !*
When they get a present they admire the BOW
And gently unwrap it careful & slow !
And recycle the paper ~ for all sorts of uses
Men just rip it off ! We*re from Mars ~ our excuse is !
Think what you buy ~ not *Pie in the SKY*
Ask yourself ~ *Would I like this Wotsit ?*
It is a SIN if it goes in the BIN
As soon as your poor NEPHEW spots it !
That is why MEN ~ round the shops do not DASH
They solve ALL their PRESENTS with VOUCHERS & CASH !

Great write but had to look up who Miley Cyrus is - not sure if that shows my age or my taste in music - probably both.
