Get into Cheer (A Festive Trio)

AuburnScribbler

The snow’s a dropping, and the people are bopping,

Though we remain behind closed doors,

Grottos are made around the world,

For Jesus or Santa Claus.

It’s your choice, the price tag you make,

But just make sure that you’re smiling,

As precious time is our gift this year,

Christmas will still be shining,

So, rev your engines, get into cheer,

Toast in your own special way,

We’ve got to hold onto to our happy,

By being aboard a merry sleigh.

  • Comment from author about the poem: A more festive offering for you this time. Although 2020 has been a mournful year, we've still got to "get into cheer" for a time where togetherness is everything. Christmas (however you celebrate it) has been around a lot longer than this virus, so we need to keep a hold on to hope, and Christmas cheer, to keep morale up and for us to continue to stick our fingers up at this damaging disease. I hope you enjoy, and please do take care.

In these Strange Times we can still be happy and enjoy our lives in this Special Time.
