Dreaming of Tomorrow

gerrylegister

I am lockdown indoors.

Surfing the internet floors

seated on the worn-out sofa.

Tattoo with crumple stigma.

The long nights creep slowly.

Through the darkness, I feel lonely.

Sometimes I weep and fall asleep.

Awoken late because I have gone so deep.

And restless with all that I have seen.

Mostly reality within my dream.

Real as the plague with tighter clasp.

That our society cannot grasp.

Yet we have better hope now.

In a vision, dreaming of tomorrow.

Very good words Gerry. We know that tomorrow all will be good once more, just dream of tomorrow.
