She was born on this day,
That wonderful woman
Who became my wife.
So many wonderful times together,
Our love for each other always shining
As we went through our lives in happiness,
Total happiness.
Those times came to a close
When she passed on that sad day,
But she will always be there in my heart
And will be waiting for me.
So until that day arrives
With this rose for you and your love,
Your love for me,
And my love for you
I say Happy Birthday Joyce,
I will be with you when time flows
And we go together into eternity.

- Comment from author about the poem: It is Joyce's birthday today so these words are for her. The picture of the rose I took yesterday in our garden, it was there waiting for her birthday. Emma Johnson was Joyce's favourite clarinetist and we saw her perform a couple of times. (Joyce played clarinet).

A poignant write Gold.
Loneliness, bereavement, etc can cause some sort of emotional 'claustrophobia', if you know what I mean?
There is a finality in bereavement, yet if I say it, the Christian faith gives hope. I don't mean 'messing about' with lots of ritual, nor hypocritical things done in the name of 'religion'.
Thank you Orchi.
Yes I know what you mean but I have a belief that I will meet her in My Spirit.
