Nowness.
We, looking to Now
..........................may see icy goodbyes.
Cold can scribe lonely,
...............................but for only a while.
Forgiveness demands
..................................no special timing.
Winter sounds saddest
.........................when seen from behind.
Drifts of bleak past can
................................harden soft faces.
Smiles will melt quicker
.........................frost-bitten heartaches.
Nowness awakened
..........................heals painful traumas.
Yielding to stillness
.....................means peace again soars.

Good write Fay.
Firstly, well done using your chosen layout. It really works for pace and emphasis of your piece today.
This reads like a lesson in positive-ness. Peace is an undervalued prize and neglected in the fast-life we have had to be accustomed to in our lives. Later years and/or lockdown have awarded this prize to those who can bear it.
Mindfulness in it's simplest form is the nowness I know and knowing me, ...read into the meaning of your lines today.
