She went into the sea, in front of me
Way above my own inner capability!
Able to stand in my fire and get burnt
To the point she becomes a golden perch
In awe I am swept to never forget
This amazing warrior of open and rawness
Claiming more than my heart at the start
Souls that push & pull to feed what's true
As it becomes more than just two of you
Raising more light to be our stamp in time
Inspired by others to step out of comfort zones
I couldn't be more proud to call this love my home
To be here now and no luggage to unload, history got us here but it doesn't control!
We each have the choice to follow our body, mind and soul!

- Comment from author about the poem: 110 hours this week with work! I felt pretty drained yesterday! Then my wonderful wife said people were meeting on the beach, with that little nudge I said come on I up for getting out!! Within each other we help make this world go around or at least do more than just sit on the couch... I heard some one say yesterday.. "Life does not know that you think you are separate from it" we are everything & nothing, nature does not want us just to just know but feel all the emotional flow!

PD you did it again, penned a great poem. I salute you and your wife for dipping into the ocean in December. We do it all the time here, nothing special! Welcome to Hawaii!!!

The past has hurt you and the journey from then to now has been torture for you.
You can only be what you are today because you are made a better man by surviving. It is only the darkness of your yesterdays which enable you to see the light of today so brightly and to dance in it's glory. Enjoy what you have today, for you deserve the goodness.
There will be times when the darkness of the past enters your mind again and tries to pull you into a dark place again. Be prepared. Keep something - like a sergeants stripes on your arm for example - so that, when dark days call, you can touch those stripes and say to yourself "F..k off darkness, i have earned the right to be happy - these stripes are my proof".
Wow.. I've read this 3 times and each time I feel more alive and look down at the tattoos of my heart and dog dam you are right! I've earned this passage into my light and none can take push me back! Unless I choose to go down that track and I don't plan on stopping my friend!

I agree with what d a has said, you have come such a long way in your life and it has now become wonderful and will always be so with the positive attitude you now have.
As for going in the sea, afraid not I have never learned to swim.

With your spirit as a guide how could I not be here! No need to swim when you can breath relax and let the river take you in!
I am not the best but surely floating on your back is natural, we just can't panic! The rest takes care of it self...
Then again may be some are ment to just fly 😉
