I don’t have time to think about getting old
nor listen to old age stories I am told
no time to worry what the future brings
about problems, troubles and other things
I would rather use all of my strength
to keep these problems at arm’s length
what I need to do and care about
the most important thing no doubt
is to use my remaining time
to go out on a limb and climb
the highest mountain I can find
even if it exists only in my mind
there still is so much to see and do
life at any age can be exciting and new
I need to get out of my comfort zone
dance to a different music, another tone
see the beauty, hear the sound
look around me from higher ground
let my imagination guide my thought
don’t want my life to be for naught
be busy and happy all the time
try to stay healthy and in my prime
treat every day as if it might be last
live it up once more, then go fast

And long may you feel so.
Thanks da, and I do hope I will be around a bit longer!
Good advice you've modeled there - I think I'll keep it for future reference.
Regards Dave
Thanks DD, I am humbled that you think my "advice" is worth keeping!
Thoroughly agree with you Fred, I will meet you at the top of that mountain we are both climbing.
Andy
Andy, I am looking forward to look at the view from up there together with you!
You is already doing so - climbing trees anyway. You moving on to mountains now?! Good write Fred.
You know Orchie, the tree just isn't tall enough. We need to get outside our comfort zone sometimes.
good, hopeful message!
Thanks Christina! No matter the age, we gotta be positive, especially with all the negativity in this world!
