I’m the poet of the peaks.
A sad, sarcastic soul who seeks
some solace, in his twilight days
before his hair falls out or greys.
I’m the poet, past his prime,
who’s running out of rhyming time.
I’m fragile as a fractured star,
redundant as a Russian Czar
I’m the poet, some may say,
who long ago had lost his way
midway upon life’s journey, bleak,
without a paddle, up the creek.
I’m the poet, born and bred
for sorrow, so my star sign said.
My critics cast a crueller curse:
that I’ll run out of love-struck verse!
I’m the poet, nonetheless,
at least I’ve style and some finesse.
Maybe too sophistication
and deffo, I’ve determination!

Good read. Have a Happy Holiday
Many thanks, Jerry. Happy Holiday!
I know you will keep it going (I hope so, anyway)
Regards Dave
Thank you kindly, DD. Hope you have a happy holiday!
I've been on MyPoeticSide just three days. You actually know how to write a poem! And you have a real name. Let's follow each other.
Including how to format on this WordPress site. You can even evade the middle axis, though it takes work.
Right now I'm playing with the format.
Thank you, Robert. hope you are enjoying MyPoeticSide. Thank you for taking the time to read my puny little poetic rhymes. Happy Holidays
Good words Kevin.
Andy
Thanks Andy. Happy holiday!
You're a rare Poet, I'll proudly admit
as I witness each line of truth, your finger's bleed,
to serenade aching heart's, you've never met
and share that solace, you've mined from within...
what a wonderful melody you've weaved dear Poet,
thank you for sharing, Happy Holidays
Many thanks LB. Thank you for your generous feedback and for your taking the time to read my truly poor little rhymes. Happy Holidays!
