In our lives we find ourselves challenged,
Each turn in the path,
Each door we need to open
Give us a different way to the norm,
The norm we have been travelling.
Some are so wonderful
They take us into a brighter time,
A brighter and better time.
Some just lead us to a path
We already know,
And make our resolution stronger.
We often come across obstacles
And we learn to overcome those
Thus increasing our experience,
So our coping with life eases for the future.
But some we cannot fix
No matter how we try.
Those we carry with us
With the hope that one day
Our increasing experience will help,
Help to overcome these problems.
Then there are those that cannot be fixed,
Cannot be fixed at all
And they remain a burden,
A burden we carry for life.
But as each day passes we get stronger
And that burden becomes easier,
Easier to carry with us.

Good write Gold.
Its a better way of saying it, than 'put up with it', though we have to 'bear' or 'carry' some things, as you say.
Maybe the saying fits in somehow: 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Pity I did not do that in 1066.
Thanks Orchi.

Thanks Andy.
A wonderful reflective write.
We couldn't change how 2020 rurned out.
Lets hope 2021 will be a better year.
Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.

Thank you FineB, I am sure 2021 will be a better year and we will all be able to meet with our friends and family in normal circumstances.

A lot of material for future work there. Good read Goldfinch. Happy New Year.
Thank you Jerry, there surely is.
Happy New Year to you as well.

You are absolutely right! We could develop a kind of psychological coping muscles as a result of our chronic life-long burdens and hardships. These coping muscles can make these unchangeable obstacles seem less severe and more tolerable.
So true Samer as we get older we can cope with things much easier.
