Coming Back – Better Than Nothing On Christmas

Nafis Light

Just a dinner on Christmas
with a friend and her children;
Well, she invited me
after I told her that there’s nothing for me on such a day...to see.

Simple dinner...four of us;
Grilled Lamb, Mashed Potato, and Salad (basically)
and come personal talks right after
before I went back to a normal...mundane living.

‘Mundane’ because
it seems normal
ordinary
nothing
boring
empty
in a way that it is repeating
without much to say ‘exciting’
or giving me the deep fulfillment
but well...it is a basic thing.

It ain’t a career
because I have faith in changing into something better
because I don’t see it as ‘forever’
because I will move on...into a better place and life.
