New year
fresh start
a feeling of freedom in a way
of what used to be
memories made
some more to make
it's exciting and scary
to see what's ahead
nonetheless nothing to do
but move forward
hold on to what brings you joy
have you seen the movie soul?
life is about enjoying
the simple the gifts
God has given us each
it's easy to self hate
and at times wanting
to escape
but you're special
you're loved
look in the mirror
that person is counting on you
Learn, grow, explore
is what i hope for
in the new beginning
