Happy New Year

Jerry Reynolds

After drinking the champagne.
Kissing the wife was not tame.
Saturnalia came without fear.
Hold on for a Happy New Year.

Though vaccinations may sting.
Post shots we all will sing.
Fill the pubs and have some beers.
Hold on for a Happy New Year.

2020 has come and gone.
Prudent we step to 2021.
Covid19 will slowly disappear.
Hold on for a Happy New Year.

so true, those 'freshly pulled' beers at our local 'public houses' taste so much better than a 'can of beer at home' for some reason, lol
liked the hopeful tint to your words Jerry, a good read
