Saviour-Seeking

Tune: In Dulcie Jubilo

('Good Christian friends, rejoice')

***********

'Tis joy to all mankind

When the Saviour they find

Look not in a palace grand

To a manger turn your hand

Babe does in a stable lay

Come in, come in, animals say

Here is Christ today

Here is Christ today

He Light of world for all

Hope for who to Him call

He shall save, redeem from sin

And shall dwell in hearts within

By His Spirit, infant child

We see with parents undefiled

Grace and mercy mild

Grace and mercy mild

God comes to human race

His Son shows Father's face

Full of truth and full of grace

His Father's will He does trace

And all to make salvation

Firm and sure to every nation

True joys, elations

True joys, elations

should I keep telling how divine your writings are?
    stay safe brethren in Christ

      Thanks Amon.
Well, yes, but don't tell of ME of myself, if you see what I mean. Tell of Christ. There's no salvation in me, of myself!

      Nice one Orchi.

I can sing this one pretty easily. Tune IN DULCI JUBILO, with a macaronic German-and-Latin text. English words by the great Anglican hymnographer John Mason Neale, originally "Good Christian men rejoice". I think friends is a great improvement.
