  Maybe, it is because of their surrounding adverse circumstances, or their individual hereditary susceptibility.
  
  Anyway, I think, if they get much attention, the ratio of their survival might increase.
  
  By the way, there is a sense of nice harmony within the colors of your mosaic art work.
