heterochromia

caitlinn02

one a deep chocolate

rich and soft

it asserts its boldness and dominance

its unwillingness to go amiss

the other a blend of blue and gray

a gentle ocean

that calms your mind

eyes as rare as diamonds

i have diamonds for eyes

perhaps mine more beautiful too

what could be identical

is so distinct

this makes me beautiful too

We are all unique in our own selves caitlinn and may that always be so.

Good words and may those diamonds always shine.

    Love this!

Heterochromia iridis, to give it its full title. It does have an English equivalent, odd-eyed, a word I've however seen only applied to cats. (It's common in cats, where if a white spot falls over an eye, the iris is blue.)

A photograph of your eyes would enhance this poem in the MyPoeticSide format. I need for the poem to make some distinction of right and left.
