Tune: Quam Dilecta
('We love the place, O Lord')
Revelation 6 v.9-11
***********
John saw opened fifth seal
Saw under altar still
Souls of them that were slain
Though life true did they gain
Slain for the word of God
Martyrs, this earth they trod
They gave testimony
Witnedssed to men bold, free
They cried with loud voice, See
How long, O Lord, holy
And true do you not judge
And our blood shed avenge?
They given robes of white
Beauteous to the sight
It was said to them, Wait
Rest little while [in] this state
Rest till fellow servants
They too be penitents
Some more brethren of lands
Woudl join the martyrs bands

- Comment from author about the poem: A hyln-poem in 6.6.6.6. metre. There are our 'How long's?' said or thought with spiritual/religious reference, or generally. Even martyrs here say 'How long?'.

There are seven seals in all. The first four fitted into one poem. There is more detail given for the other seals - number five here; numbers six and seven to follow.
Can they all keep a ball in the air?
Thanks dusk. Yes lol.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
