Stopped Clocks

Fay Slimm.

Stopped Clocks.

Lush and mysterious was that garden oasis.

Hearing a step on the path behind

I felt memory birthing another.

A face from the past makes my heart sing.

We had buried ourselves in this thicket

of jasmine and painted

one night with voluptuous colour.

Potent those smiles brushed with intrigue.

Stopped clocks cannot crumble moments

of given love nor can time ever

alter what back then we tinged with gold.

Such treasures are memories made when the heart was winged and flew in the paired dance of loves entwined rhythms through a wonderland of life's finest sensations.
Such can only be told by those who so flew.
    Now smile at the thought.

Haha you write such beautiful vivid verses Fay and I get to the end and lose grip of the delicate sense you weave to be left with wistful and coy thoughts. Great work again dear poet friend.
