who are we

FredPeyer

Who are we?

the ultimate conundrum

comprised of 90 percent star dust

hydrogen atoms born in the big bang

nearly fourteen billion years ago

hydrogen carbon nitrogen oxygen iron sulfur

dust from dying exploding stars

a complex biological machine

topped by an unfathomable mind

yet utterly unimportant

with a life span of 0.000000005

of the age of the universe

and still

we think we are uniquely important

masters of our domain

know-it-all’s with imagination

when in fact

all we are

is an iota of dust

No matter how big or small a speck is a speck and could always have more life than we currently know...

Couldn't help it but the reply and thanks is underneath lol

                • FredPeyer

Thanks Andy! And does the Universe care about that little speck?
