She was back,
There we were walking,
Walking up the hills
Towards the top of the Dales.
Our steps in harmony
Looking around at Nature’s beauty,
It’s beauty and wonder.
The green multicoloured swards
All around us
Dotted with the white dots
Of the sheep.
The plaintiff call of the curlew
Sounding so sad
But we were so happy,
Our love was so strong
And increased with each step,
Each step we walked in our life.
We reached the top of the hill,
Stopped and looked all around
At our world.
She walked up onto another hill
And I watched as she turned
Waved, smiled and said,
“See you soon”,
Leaving this world,
Leaving my world.
I walked back down
Knowing that we would meet again,
But she was still with me
As she was in this dream,
This dream that one day
Will take me back to her,
In Reality.

Beautiful flow. May she return to you, in reality.
Thank you Evergreen, most kind. My wife died just over a year ago but she is still with me.

I have a feeling you describe more than just a dream .. your words are filled with love and with longing ... a two way thing if ever there was ... I also have no doubt, you write the truth ... write on my friend ...
Thank you Neville.
Yes always the truth.

'She walked up onto another hill
And I watched as she turned
Waved, smiled and said,
“See you soon”,'
how comforting these words may read to many who are dealing with a similar pain Andy, what a wonderful gift to share your positive outlook and offer a helping hand,
beautiful in sentiment and penned so immersive:
'It’s beauty and wonder.
The green multicoloured swards
All around us
Dotted with the white dots
Of the sheep.
The plaintiff call of the curlew
Sounding so sad
But we were so happy,'
Thank you Mek, she is always with me.

Andy, this is such a wonderful tribute to your late wife. I know you two will be together again one day, together in love and happiness.
Thank you Fred, yes we WILL be together again one day.

Love such as yours can never die Andy and your dream-experience with Joyce as told by these inspiring words proves that beyond doubt my dear friend.
Thank you for your wonderful kind words Fay, they are very much appreciated.
