Jerry Reynolds

Today in America
Sons and daughters of slaves
Kiss sons and daughters of masters
Trying to be human.

Not enough people are trying hard enough.
In America, every black person is a descendant of a slave, are they not? By now every single one should have been offered compensation and social equity
Ditto Australia: the original inhabitants, following 1788, found themselves the subject of invasion and mass slaughter. Today many of the few survivors live in abject poverty and are subject to discrimination both overt and subtle.
Not a lot of humanity in either case, really.

No they are not, people imigrate to America all the time. President Obamas’ parents were recent immigrants; Michelle’s were decedents of slaves. Today is Martin Luther King Day.

Thanks Jerry for that. I still think my overall point is not invalid.
And I know you're not saying that all is OK because Michelle Obama made it.

a wonderful dedication and fitting in its non-aggressive or excessive tone...
'trying' is a wonderful gateway to progression, let us all create the ripples within fate to curate a better tomorrow for our future generations,
a measured write, worded so subtly beautiful

Thanks for the pick L.B. "Measured" is how America is best lead.
