Reasons for Leaving
Surely it must be time to leave
When all these bits of nothing
Amount to something quite so big

Meant to be sly, Nev - I was sure it wasn't about decluttering worldly goods really!

Ugh! That time - yet again...
'when rose petal words
are poisoned
by yesterdays misspoken tone
and a romance
once fated to bloom
a life time, now
stares back: Snag,
while all around
couples swivel - in-step
to their pulsed
lifetime soundtrack
of unending Spring delights'
thanks for inspiring my little scribbled reply my friend,
a great write you've shared,
words depicting that heartachingly morose moment of belated realisation with incision accuracy and insightful brevity
............................. what can this old fella say except a BIG THANK YOU my friend ....
Reminded me of a poem i wrote ages ago:-
when u find
she's not the one
and grow tired
of the things she's done
then the time is here
to make it right
if its gone so wrong
move along tonight
But there again i could have got a hold of the wrong end of the stick.
................... I am delighted that these words triggered such a recollection ... great minds eh' ... and thank you DA .................
Good write N. I gotta meet her first, let alone leaving her! lol.
.................. that kinda makes sense .. maybe .. Cheers Orchidee ...
There's a story there... or do we each imagine we know what this refers to from our own experience? Sort of the opposite of sound and fury signifying nothing?
......................... Maybe .................... thanks for checking in and considering these words ... you make a good point ...
