Walking This Way

Tune: Old Yeavering

('Like a mighty river flowing')

Psalm 86 v.9-15 parts

********

All nations who you have made shall

Come, worship before you and tell

Of your doings, you are the Lord

God alone, the living Word

Teach me your way, O LORD, I wll

Walk in your truth, follow you still

Unite my heart to fear your name

It claim solely for your fame

I will praise you with my whole heart

O Lord my God, in every part

For great is your mercy to me

You have delivered me, see

Saved me from the lowest hell, for

You did attend to my needs sure

Full of compassion and gracious

Plenty mercy, truth to us

"Teach me your way oh lord" - and how's the lord going to do that then? Unless it's all in your mind?

    • orchidee

Yes, through our mind, our spirit, our conscience, I would say.

So he can't teach someone who hasn't been brainwashed into believing the christian version of things?

it seems to me your path is clear ... at least I can see where you are coming from ....

I was going to mention Monty Python's Ministry of Funny Walks .. but dont think I would have got away with it ....

Thanks Neville. Nope, not THAT way of the Python walk, but THIS way, as in the poem! Ya could walk in Old Yeavering, if ever ya are that way!
