Believing in tomorrow

Jerry Reynolds

In the depth of winter,
I am buoyed by your spirit.
One lingering flower,
Determined to open
In a season of adversity.

A lovely picture, and 'picture' of your poem, Jerry. Yes - Snowdrops? Daffodils before too long? Daffodils pong a bit at night, if we put them in a vase of water indoors!

Very good words Jerry, there often seems to be one bloom that lingers in the depths of winter, At one time we used to have a daffodil that was always in flower on Christmas Day.

Am so uplifted by the very thought of one flower trying its best to bloom in increasing cold - an impressive last line describing so well the season of winter..
