Tick Tock

PoeticBiscuit

Tick Tock,

The patient clock marches on.

Ocean rise, and kingdoms fall,

Still it plays it’s song.

When young the song is slow,

A boring somber tune,

But with age picks up it’s pace,

And then it’ll change the mood.

A rhythmic melody,

Joined by the beat of hearts,

A masterful duet,

Until the drums depart.

That clock never seems to go at the same time, every time we enjoy ourselves it races by but if we are sad it slows down.

  • dusk arising

Herein older year the clock seems to leap forward leaving one wondering... where does the time go.

I like the way you concisely encapsulated lifes clock and pace.
