I don't know how

Poetic Dan

I saw these words and my heart began to sing, then quickly darkened when the thought of my struggle to change.

Yet part time or full time the connection can be strong, knowing others that failed and passed the test that only time knows!

Many stories can be told but only emotions grab hold, putting roots in a river to always find your way home.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Thought when I got around to writing something for this it would be more personal. Then I saw this was the 700th spill of my soul and I'm so grateful to be who I am and get to know all I got to know finding peace to move forward and bring more life to this poetic world.

Dan mate, we are all individuals. Some fail where we succeed and sometimes we fail where others succeed but that doesn't mean a thing because no two persons circumstances will be the same ever. All we can do is try to be the best we can, and when that turns out good then we should count ourselves as lucky and buy ourselves an ice cream or something.
There is a part of every one of us that is a saint.
In another day, another time, with a fair wind they might even nail us to a cross and tell everyone we came back to life after three days (and buggered off to Kashmir) but it's unlikely. And anyway i'm allergic to nails thru my flesh.

Tbh my friend this was written in spirit i guess for my older brother too as his children cut him off (valid reason). Yet I still hold the contact and lastly on doing our best, my real father told me when I asked about a two brothers I never knew... "son my balls were heavy" that my friend is
Careless responsibility and don't deserve the gift that life can bring...

Thanks again for always giving like you do, the end made me chuckle..

Let history be what it is cos nobody can change history (except by lieing about it). We've all done things we would like to change..... there are no saints here. Live and let live. History is full of illegitimate births and theres nowt anyone can do to change it. We can only control what we do in future. Hows life turning out with the in-laws?

        Dan,
in German we have a saying: Vater werden ist nicht schwer, Vater sein dagegen sehr.
It is easy to become a father, but hard to be one. Like d a said, all we can do is to do our best, come what may. You are doing OK!

I may never of become the dad I though but I never doubted the connection and love.

I think I should of made it clear that's is was not so much about me as my reply to d.a

Yes I am the product of that saying lol
          But broke the pattern

Always appreciate your time my friend

Refer you back to dusk and Fred. I'm not going to find anything else worth saying. Hang in there.

You have come so far Dan and your strength is building every second and your best is improving. Keep moving forward in strength and love.

That I am my friend and that best has improved by wonderful spirits like you, I never lost faith in myself writing a shield to never let doubt in again...

As I mentioned to dusk this was about more than me!

Our biggest doubts are within ourselves as I tell my son who struggles to be a dad but I tell him to do the best he can no judgements.
