Poison in my heart

DarkSoul98

You sat there with my heart in your hand

slowing tightening your grasp around it

I reach out to you as I fall to my knees

In pain I look up at you as you hover over me

Almost as if you’re taunting me telling me

That my heart will always be in your hands

I lay at your feet wondering why it came to this

Why did you leave and take my heart with you

Why do you hold me hostage in my own mind

Why does my heart have to ache and break

Loving you was a poison I didn’t know I took
