Tune & Hymn: Skye Boat Song

Psalm 132 v.13-18

********

[Start with] Chorus

Arise, O LORD, now into your rest

By your presence we blest

You and the ark (box) of your covenant

Your laws unto us sent

For the LORD has Zion chosen

His habitation then

He says, This is my rest ever

I shall depart never - Chorus

He will here bless abundantly

Provide, none needy be

He will clothe priests with salvation

They His holy nation - Chorus

Her saints shall shout for joy aloud

It be so, He avowed

He will make the government grow

Line of David, we know - Chorus

He has ordained a lamp for light

For His anointed's sight

Even King David, and He shall

Deal with enemies well - Chorus

Enemies He will clothe with shame

They lose honour and fame

But King David's crown shall flourish

The LORD will him nourish - Chorus

I may have been at Culloden in 1746, as well as Hastings in 1066. Was you there too Gold?!

          Good one Orchi.

I was on a hill just watching at Culloden as I didn't want to get mud on my boots.

Thanks Gold. Ooh me too. I had just had my nails done. Didn't want to break a fingernail. Was it our relatives, McGold and McOrchidee in the battle?!
