Scared Eyes

Dasim

A silk suit, shimmering bluish green

Perfectly ironed white shirt,

Thin Italian tie, manicured nails.

You, ever the Gentleman.

Your light green eyes

Greet me with worry.

I know what frightens them,

It’s love, of course.

Uncontrollable, suffocating and fickle

It may vanish in a moment

And leave us limp.

Now I know, now I know.

But that love is now stable,

Paralyzed in black and white

Framed in silver long ago,

Replaced by silence.

Now, as then,

Our strongest bond.

A creatively artistically expressed unique poem on love.
Fickle young premarital love can vanish easily. Kudos!!!
