Questions

Trenz Pruca

What is freedom,
to those without
wealth,
income,
or power?

Why would one feel
morally bound
or wish to be
morally bound
to a civil
society
that does not share
the goal that its
citizens deserve
a fair distribution
of wealth,
of income,
of power?

If the civil
society
is not dedicated
to that end
what else could it
possibly be
dedicated to?

What is freedom,
to those without
wealth,
income
or power?

As many thumbs up as I can find, Trenz. Cleanly and simply put together. Should be on a revered banner taken on serious demonstrations. Your argument in second stanza is irrefutable

So very true Trenz, those in power do not ever look out of their ivory towers.

      'freedom'
is that 'choice' you made when writing this very words knowing you have the 'right' to do so,
it's that education that fuelled your ability to articulate such profound thought's into searching - Questioning, of 'freedom's' meaning...
      freedom
is the blood shed to allow you, to question this very freedom that didn't exist a century ago...
      freedom
is in our Accountability for how we Choose to perceive this broken world we've inherited...
cheer up though, Spring will be with us soon and so will that better tomorrow, that we all play a part in shaping...

Great fair lament questions that some in society need to be asked, well said poetically. Kudos for a though provoking poem.
