A Summer Love

heatherbee

Barefoot in the grass
I knew our love would last
We lay together in the sun
Oh how we did have so much fun
Daisy chains and buttercups
Fields of gold we loved so much
We drank our bubbles they popped and fizzed
Then we had a long embrace
We took in the glorious sun how our lifes spun in to one
I could of stayed there for so so long
But then real life came along
Our basket packed our rug picked up
We walked away our time was up
We said goodbye our lips did touch oh how I love him so so much
And as we drifted further apart I felt the break in my heart
Oh how I knew our love would last
It's now a memory in my past.
