Plague

MrNobody40

I will burn them down
My childhood constructs
And free my mind from imprisonment
The illusion of sense and self
The Unmistakable fear
Of who I am
I will burn them down
Eliminate the loneliness
The plague of every step of my life
And its meaningless stain
I will set them on fire
And watch as every last ash
Drifts away with the wind

As those ashes drift away your new fulfilling life will be ahead of you - enjoy its wonder.

there is a rhythmic element to your writing style that's hard to pinpoint, yet its presence is undeniable,
a good read of Phoenix aspirations

Thank you for the comment. When I write my poetry I let it all happen naturally and unforced, so I think that produces a natural element of rhythm. Thanks. 🙂
