Leaving

gerrylegister

Emotional ties try to pull you,

down into a darker path from the light.

Forcing its piercing point through,

The fleeting glimpses of fright.

Leaving the painful past behind,

with greater might, you held back.

From the shadows in your mind

The flood of tears makes an attack.

With an aching birth in victory shout,

love fades away into the distance,

leave the scent upon the scribbled note.

For tears only to have assistance.

When the waves crash with memories.

Circling inside were the places to cry.

Broken off those unforgettable ties.

There unite in regret to the patchy sky.

With a new fragrance surface in the air.

Found hope and the renewed belief,

for more of life happiness, can share.

Dreams are not attached only to oneself.
