O' moon I know you're out there
hidden behind my darkened skies
watching over me
motionless in a world
spinning
so out of control
amid these temptress cries
I beg to thee
melt the chill upon this rugged grandeur
force me to face the light
a path crisscrossed
cutting through
the thick of night
be my gentle guide
my friendly guise
my window
to peer out of
help me find
the broken pieces
of a mixed up yesterday
and show to you
my willingness and pride
O' moon I know you're out there
and I know you know
I'm still here
stuck inside the silence
awaiting
all alone

The moon is always there for us all, it may be hiding on occasion but the clouds in life will clear and the moon will bring light to our lives.
Andy
Wouldn't bother if I were you - very soon man (humans) will be on the moon, exploiting it's resources and heading for mars to exploit there.
Why worry though - earth, the sun and it's attendant planets are but dust in the infinity of time and space.
Doh! It was a New Moon recently - blanked out - couldn't see it at all! Good write TS.
Being eccentric - Goldfinch (he knows) and I were on the moon already in 1969. We welcomed the first astronauts on the moon. We said 'What kept you (from arriving earlier)?' Are Goldfinch and I human?! heehee.
Like a comfort, when all around us in our personal life is falling apart, there's our big ole moon playing it's regular part in our game of life.
a genuinely delectable poetic treat, you clearly have a talent
thank you for choosing to share it
