Poem, The Night We Met

AwHec8

I am such a lonely traveler.

Who has yet to repay his debt.

I’ve been searching for the path back to You.

I’ve been seeking the way back, please give me a cue.

Yeshua take me back to the night we met.

Tell me please to no longer fret.

Holy Spirit are you in my heart even yet?

Forgive me Lord, wandering from the path that you had set.

I can then tell myself something true.

I can then tell myself I am back with You.

I had it all without paying my due.

I now have nothing & am so blue.

Take me back to the night we met.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to do?

Haunted by the loss of You.

Please Yeshua take me back to the night we met.

Now my nights are full of terror.

And your eyes are filled with tears.

It is all my own error.

Take me back to when You allayed all my fears.

When You touched my heart.

Taking my sins to set them apart.

Not having to impart.

Oh Lord can we please restart.

Take me back to the night we met.

I had it all then.

Now I have none of You.

What am I supposed to do?

Haunted by the loss of You.

Take me forward to the night we met.

Holy Spirit I am counting on You.

To see me through.

Take me forward to the night we met.
