Spring Story

orchidee

Tune: Christchurch

('Now is eternal life')

Psalm 104 v.24

**********

See now, Spring is springing!

Earth with colours does ring

Snowdrops, you not dismay

New growth is on it way

Daffodils, raise your yellow heads

All bright arrayed in flower beds

Trees blossom, pink and white

'Tis of new life a sight

Sweet crocuses there be

And too more greenery

Some ordained evergreen to stay

They part of Nature's fine display

Sun's warmth to clear the chill

Daily course does fulfil

And rain to water ground

That produce may abound

Around and around, life's cycle

Who does into being it call?

Here trust, God, Creator

And we His creatures be

Humans, each of them made

In His image arrayed

Crowning point of His creation

His forming of each woman, man

Grant us grace, Lord, that we

Do care-take constantly

Of your creation, how

Many your works seen now!

In wisdom have you made them all

The earth is with your riches full
