Meistersingers.

Goldfinch60

The regality flowed out from the sound

As the music entered the ether

With such a force of passion.

The Meistersingers entered the stage,

Their voices raised with a force of destiny

Showing that music can come from the heart,

Can come from the heart of the composer

Through the heart and voice of each singer

To show that they were the best in giving,

In giving their best for the music.

  • Comment from author about the poem: If you want to see a short opera do not go to this one as it is over four hours long but it is brilliant.

    Good write Gold.
Aww, me solo singing concert was over four hours long too. No one turned up!
They would not turn up if it was four minutes long, and with free tickets! lol.

      Thanks Orchi.

You liking that silent piece of 4:33? They wish I had produced it, and made it 4 years, 33 minutes of silence! lol

It is an intriguing piece, many years ago people were encouraged to buy it or download it to try and get it in the music charts. I have only seen it on the Web, never seen it live.

one of the things I must do when this beast is behind us and but a bad memory is to go to an opera ... until then tho' I will take your word for it Andy ...

If you do go to an opera I wouldn't recommend this one to start with, maybe Rigolletto or LaTraviata to start you off - or Carmen.

As I move on in years I realize what makes humanity is it’s creative force.
            Wonderful write. JP
