Golden Shovel?

Merissa

First Line Golden Shovel of Joy Harjo's Poem An American Sunrise.

They stood there and laughed as we

told them the truth. They were

ready for more, yet running

from it all. They wanted out

of the pain they held. Scared of

Dying so they hold their breath.

Clever write Merissa, a reverse acrostic.

very creative, a different take on 'found poetry' I think and has the added value of providing pertinent commentary on the current global pandemic crisis,
really well executed in my humble opinion,
    thanks for sharing
