Mama Casillas

Gino

Sinking

as the sun sinks

in between

light and you,

Falling

at the demise

in between

song and sleep,

Waking

within that fateful hour

of prayer

cleaving to a loose hope,

Heart

is sinking,

world is fleeting,

as eternity echoes

into the limelight

of a crux

Don't cry my dear,

for just around the bend

therein lies

a beautiful place ahead,

Seems

like the end

when all else fails

But we don't know

that end to all things

Holding

in between now and then

beyond the mar

beheld in my arms

Destiny's plight

leaves me in the dusk of leave,

Mama

please don't leave me,

for I love you

You'll always

have a place in my heart

in between a beautiful dream

and sojourn embrace

...As that soft narrow

surrender

bides that final goodbye

into the light
