Was & is

Poetic Dan

Good intentions can not act

This is for the mind to go ratta tat tat

Trapped in a cage unless we enact

The power of the body to authenticity flow

With a language that is know only to the soul

Something that's connects all being to the water hole

Trust

Respect

Loyalty

Learning to move on and let go

Listening to the beat of the heart that drives it all.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I'll be honest and say the words "was and is" actually replaced the word mother... family can be whatever we make it mean, thanks to all those that feel like that to me..
