The evening air has a nip,
Winter holding firm.
Age has taken its grip,
Less young energy to burn.
A poem to pass some time
And warm this heart of mine.

Good write Jerry.
Thanks, Orchi.
And a better way to keep it beating is hard to envisage, Jerry. I'd make it a permanent feature of your daily schedule if I were you.
Great few lines.
Thanks, Dave. Good advice.
So sweet and light.
Thanks, Silk.
I am sure your heart is always warm Jerry.
Andy
Thanks, Andy.
You as well.
wonderful, a write that highlights
why so many of us are drawn to meditative poems in the oriental tradition,
beautifully worded, a subtle hug of solace woven within words..
thank you Jerry!
Thank you, L.B. Really nice of you to say.
There is the slowing down of years of wisdom gained, now put into practice, within your few lines today.
Warms the hearts of many of us old fogies.
Thanks, Dusk. Fogies we are.
