Coffee

Limitless Consciousness

Every day I get up from bed, I am happy.

I get another shot at this so-called life.

I drink my morning coffee at peace with a smile on my face, playing chess.

Then I go outside and see all the mean faces staring at me.

Intoxicated, high, obnoxious, mean people with no goals or ambitions.

They try to throw their insecurities on me.

Why should I let them? Why should I let their demons come between my peace and me?

Why should I curse at them, If I say some bad word at them, it is because I have this bad word in me?

I’m blind to these kinds of people, mental midgets. I do not see them.

Therefore, that is why I just smile at them and let them wonder what is wrong with me.

Shame that you have to defend your integrity from such negative folk. Not a good environment.... perhaps time to move along before a knife pierces your singularity.

'Therefore, that is why I just smile at them and let them wonder what is wrong with me.'
indeed, but don't judge them too harshly - for lacking your insight dear poet,
see for some yours may be the first genuine smile they've come across in blinked lightyears..
a good read imbued with a life affirmingly, meaningful message
