Perspective

Jerry Reynolds

So it begins-
Spring twenty, twenty-one.

Somewhere, on the outskirts
Of The Milky Way.

Snowdrops, present a hopeful promise.
Birds sing, harvesting twigs for nesting.
Searching for scraps in terrace cracks.

Cars buzzing, on a road near-by
A dog barks, in the distance.

Feels good, this
Glimpse of normal.

Just a glimpse at the moment but that new normality will be back very soon.
